Ecclesiastes 7:23World English Bible, Protestant Edition

The scene

The speaker says he tested these things with wisdom and intended to be wise, yet wisdom remained far from him.

To understand

He describes what is as distant and exceedingly deep and asks who can discover it. He has also acknowledged that a person’s heart knows the times they have cursed others.

A question

What distance does the speaker describe between himself and wisdom?
