¹⁵Beware of him, for he greatly opposed our words.

2 Timothy 4:15World English Bible, Protestant Edition

The scene

The writer warns the recipient to beware of Alexander because he strongly opposed their words.

To understand

Alexander is named just before this as the coppersmith who caused the writer much harm. The following sentence recalls other people abandoning the writer at his first defense, with a wish that it not be held against them.

A question

What different responses does the writer express toward Alexander and toward those who abandoned him?
